You may have attempted to keep an open mind as you have listened to the justifications many people give for why they support the current President of the United States.

On June 6, 2018 I posted one of my “Notes from The Masters Class” at:

Notes From the Masters Class, June 6, 2018

In this short video I compared the moral leadership, shown by Robert Kennedy on the night Dr. Martin Luther King died in 1968, with that of the current President and his leadership of the so-called Mexican immigration crisis. I concluded there was no moral, spiritual or otherwise valid reason for the establishment of children’s prisons and the irreversible separation of parents and children legally seeking political asylum.

The reality is we are treating our Latin American neighbors, who we have danced this waltz with for at least 200 years, in a way that is nothing short of the worst Dicken’s novel about children you could ever imagine.

If you are committed to being a Christian and endeavor to follow The Christ as close as you can, you know that central to The Christ’s teaching is the power and necessity of The Golden Rule.  This globally espoused rule forces you to place yourself in another’s shoes and ask how you might want them to treat you if you were in their position.

On a Christian’s best day in life, there is no way to justify the treatment of these parents and children as young as ten months old. Period.

If you can honestly say that as a Christian you believe our current President’s words and policies in this case are correct and justified, as many do, then God Bless You.  You are going to need that blessing when the tables turn, as inevitably they will.

America has begun the long, painful fall from the grace that has been our rock since 1776.  Cheerleading and supporting and praying for this moment in history, are the ardent Lost Christians who seem to have forgotten The Golden Rule.

If you are a Christian who still seeks to practice The Golden Rule, you have one tool at your disposal to compensate for these Lost Christians who also believe that all bets are off on any of the old rules, because the Christ is returning at any moment, but the reality is He is already here.  He never even left, as He promised He would be with us always.

Forgiveness is that tool.  Jesus demonstrated that from the cross, when He asked His Father to forgive the very people who had manipulated the power of the State to get Him executed for His radical teachings which contradicted the power and policies of the Jewish leaders.

His reason for asking God’s forgiveness for these people? “Father, forgive them for they do not understand anything about what is going on here. They are ignorant and cannot make good decisions.”  This paraphrase of The Christ’s Last Words reveals the profound spiritual blindness of the participants in the execution.

This moment in America’s fall from grace reveals that we have not yet learned what The Christ came to demonstrate:  LOVE IS ALL THERE IS.  All else is an illusion.

There may still be time to learn this, but I caution you:  There is not one shred of evidence in all of known history to suggest that an empire beginning its fall was able to right itself.

If it is possible to right ourselves from this crisis we have voted into action, it must begin with you and me and forgiveness. Forgive everybody. Period. Without having done that, your ticket into heaven is null and void.
